HONG KONG, Nov. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Natixis is pleased to announce that Dan Carter, the legendary All Blacks rugby player voted three times World Player of the Year (2005, 2012, 2015), has taken up the role of brand ambassador for Natixis in the Asia Pacific region.
In this capacity, Dan Carter will take part in a series of events organized across the Asia Pacific region aimed at increasing engagement with the company's growing client base, while bringing to life the rugby values that Natixis strives to uphold, through a series of community and family events.
Dan Carter and Natixis have a long-standing relationship, steeped in the company's long commitment to rugby.
Dan Carter played from 2015 to June 2018 for Racing 92, a club sponsored by Natixis since 2007 which competes in the French Top 14, the French rugby union domestic league. During Dan Carter's tenure at the club, Racing 92 won the French Championship (2016) and secured second place in the European Championship (2016 & 2018). Dan Carter also acted as Natixis ambassador from 2015 to September 2018.
With Dan Carter relocating to Japan to play with the Kobe Steelers, the two parties decided to extend the partnership with a focus this time on the Asia Pacific region, where rugby as a sport is gaining in popularity. In Asia, Natixis has been the proud sponsor of the Hong Kong Football Club rugby section since 2014 and has been hosting the Natixis Rugby Cup in Hong Kong on three different occasions.
