Arrow and EPC are jointly developing a laser module using EPC2212 (AEC-Q101 qualified) for lidar applications. This module is taking 75V input and delivering a peak power at 400W. The target end applications of this module include ADAS lidar, 3D facial recognition, security, robotics as well as automatic vacuum cleaners.
EPC's eGaN FETs are able to switch at very high frequencies making them a perfect fit for these applications. Arrow and EPC are building this Lidar Laser solution as a module, by selecting the most appropriate gate driver, laser diode and putting them together using sophisticated PCB layout technique. We make the high-resolution lidar possible, increasing lidar accuracy as well as efficiency.
