GUANGZHOU, China, Dec. 9, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- On 5 December, Hitachi Elevator, together with Guangzhou Publishing House, held a new book release event at Guangzhou K11 Yanjiyou Bookstore. Aimed at children, the book "Little Elevator Master Training Manual" is an instructive reference on elevator safety education. Through this book, children can experience the pleasure of reading, and learn more about popular science knowledge relating to safe elevator use and elevator principles.
Class of little elevator masters
Children safety education has been a topic that has garnered much social attention. Hitachi Elevator has been operating in the Chinese market for 25 years, and has always focused on public welfare education activities for safe children elevator use.

In 2018, Hitachi Elevator compiled and published "Amazing Journey of Elevator" based on Guidelines for Public Safety Education in Primary and Secondary Schools issued by China's Ministry of Education, and kicked off the program titled "Shared Reading on Safe Elevator Riding" in May of the same year. As of now, Hitachi Elevator has worked with public welfare education organizations in places including Guangzhou, Shanghai and Tianjin to carry out activities around "Shared Reading on Safe Elevator Riding", and has donated books with a combined value of over RMB1 million.
Meeting with Li Li
By compiling and publishing "Little Elevator Master Training Manual", Hitachi Elevator continues to introduce the design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of elevators vividly in the form of fun cartoons. Xu Junjie, General Manager of Hitachi Elevator Engineering Headquarters, hoped that through this book, children would not only understand the past and present history of elevators, but also imagine the future form of elevators together with the "Little Elevator Master", exploring more possibilities of future city and building transportation.
Going forward, Hitachi Elevator will join hands with Yanjiyou Bookstore to continue advancing Hitachi Elevator's "Shared Reading on Safe Elevator Riding" program, and will work with partners in various places including public welfare organizations, schools, libraries and bookstores to promote "Amazing Journey of Elevator" and "Little Elevator Master Training Manual" throughout the country. Hitachi Elevator hopes to pass on the knowledge of safe elevator use to more school age children through the power of reading and contribute to the course of children safety education.
