2021-09-29 18:58 2509

BEIJING, Sept. 29, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- An innovative and sustainable connection between solar power generation and world famous Brazilian football has been established. JA Solar recently announced the installation of its revolutionary DeepBlue 3.0 photovoltaic modules on the roof mounted solar power system at Mirassol Futebol Club's training center in São Paulo, making Mirassol the first football club to install a solar PV system in Brazil.

The Mirassol rooftop solar system consists of 128 JA Solar DeepBlue 3.0 modules. Constructed by Energiu Energia Solar, the installation was completed in a record three days. Due to the installation of this high performance roof mounted PV system, the club will realize significant savings on its monthly energy bill. Forecasted savings of approximately 80,000 reais ($US 16,000) per year, means the total investment will have a payback period of four years. Importantly, the system is warranted to continue generating electricity for over 25 years, a period over which traditional power prices will continue to rise and consequently savings will grow materially.

"When choosing a supplier, a client selects a company with whom they must cooperate for at least 25 years. This is the definition of a long-term relationship, one where trust is key," emphasizes Leandro Martins da Silva, president of Ecori Energia Solar, which sponsors Mirassol and was the force behind the solar system. He added that based on previous cooperation, Ecori recognizes JA Solar as a trusted partner and is confident in the long-term energy yield of its innovative DeepBlue 3.0 series.

Dr. Xinwei Niu, Member of the Board and Executive President of JA Solar, stated: "Football is a national passion in Brazil and across the world. The installation of a PV system in service of a football club, brings tremendous mainstream attention to developing and utilizing solar energy for new applications. This will be extremely helpful in bringing clean, renewable energy to the daily lives of an increased number of people in Brazil and across the world."
