Kidney Dialysis Foundation Unveils First In-Person 'Got To Walk 2023: Illuminating Life' Event To Raise Funds For Needy Kidney Patients

SINGAPORE, Sept. 11, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- The Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF) is thrilled to unveil the inaugural in-person edition of the 'Got To Walk 2023: Illuminating Life' walkathon, a flagship fundraising event of KDF for needy kidney patients in Singapore. As pandemic restrictions ease, KDF recognises the profound value of nurturing connections and a sense of unity that can only be authentically felt within a shared physical environment.

'Got To Walk 2023: Illuminating Life' is a 5KM walkathon event steered towards raising essential funds for needy kidney patients and generating widespread awareness about kidney health. Scheduled to take place on 14 October, from 3pm to 9pm, at OCBC Square, Sports Hub, the event calls on individuals from all walks of life to come together and walk in support of needy kidney patients in Singapore.

Themed 'Illuminating Life', the event strives to ignite a chain reaction of positivity, touching countless hearts, and making a lasting difference that shines brightly in the lives of those affected by kidney disease. As participants walk through a vibrant sea of colours together, our collective aim is to brighten the lives of those facing challenges and illuminate the path for those in need.

About Kidney Dialysis Foundation Singapore

Established in 1996, the Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF) is a company limited by guarantee. It is registered as a charity under the Charities Act 1994 and is governed and monitored by our Charity Sector Administrator, the Ministry of Health on behalf of the Commissioner of Charities. Without subsidies, dialysis fees can set a patient back by more than $2,000 monthly.
