2023-04-10 17:05 3087

LE LOCLE, Switzerland, April 10, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Kim Soo Hyun is confirmed as Mido's brand ambassador for another incredible year. The Korean actor invites you to discover the watchmaking brand's new masterpiece: the Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer. This irresistible neo-vintage style piece with bright colours and cutting-edge technology will transport connoisseurs towards new horizons. Equipped with an original-style, decompression table and GMT function with a bezel that shows the world time, Mido continues to' ride on the success of a legendary piece with two special editions, taking it to new heights.

Created in the 1960s, the innovative Ocean Star Skin Diver Watch used a multicoloured scale to display decompression times. Today, the Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer retains this vintage charm, and the addition of an additional time zone display propels it towards new horizons.

Retro look with resolutely modern performance.

Mido has used the latest technologies in their continual quest for excellence: Super-LumiNova®, a glassbox-style sapphire crystal, the formidable Calibre 80 with Nivachron™ balance-spring and GMT function, as well an easy change additional strap. A starfish engraved on the screw-down case back emphasises Mido's historic achievements in the field of water resistance, both way back in 1934 with their Aquadura system, and now with this new model water-resistant up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m/660 ft). It is enough to revive the diving spirit of the 1960s, surfing through frontiers, testing the limits of jet lag and the waves themselves.

The Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer also exists as a second special edition with a decompression table in gradients of yellow to orange, Mido's signature colour, on a black dial with aluminium ring and matching rubber strap.

An irresistible high-performance piece, the Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer inspires the travellers of today to ride on the success of a Mido legend of the Sixties.
