NETMARBLE'S NEW BATTLE ROYALE TPS HYPESQUAD BEGINS SECOND PRIVATE TEST TODAY

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality gaming experiences, has launched the 2nd Private Test for HypeSquad. Starting today through September 26, players can be among the first to experience the company's Battle Royale TPS for Windows PC.

Players can register for the 2nd Private Test at registration page of HypeSquad Steam Store  (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1688720/HypeSquad/) and official HypeSquad website (hypesquad.netmarble.com/). A participation code (Steam Product Code) will be given once the instructions have been followed and completed. Players can download/install the "HypeSquad Demo" by reading the Steam product activation guide. Registrations will be accepted until the last day of testing on September 26 at 7 PM PDT.

As a result from the first private test, several updates and changes have been made to improve the gameplay experience. A new video highlighting these improvements can be found on YouTube, and key game updates include:

• New Strategies and Combat Styles: With the goal of making a real-time PVP action game that anyone can enjoy, the 2nd private test makes it easier to learn the basic game mechanics to improve combat responsiveness and situational awareness during battle.
• Basic Attack Improvements: The average attack damage of all weapons has been increased, which will shrink the gap between experienced and new players.
• Weapon and Ability Selection: Players will now be able to select one regular weapon and 2 different abilities before a match starts. This will give players more choice in their initial strategy and increase defenses before the battle begins. Also, players can now equip two abilities which will create interesting dynamics before the start of the first round.
• Speed: Animation and movement speed for basic attacks have been adjusted. Sprinting speed has slightly decreased but allows players to enter sprinting mode at a faster rate.

HypeSquad is a fast-paced game where players join a 3-players squad in a 20-squad battle, teaming up to survive in intense close-quarters combat. Featuring a variety of weapons and options, players can creatively personalize their combat style in order to lead their squad to victory. The game features a diverse cast of characters, each with different backgrounds and motivations, and an assortment of unique melee and ranged options that players can choose for multiple weapon combinations. There are also several items and upgrades awaiting players on the field to boost their performance, including support items and augmenters. Lastly, HypeSquad's interactive objects, like zip lines and jump pads among other objects, add a layer of strategy for players to consider as they strive to be victorious on the battlefield.
