BEIJING, Oct. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Mr. Achim Steiner, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), will be visiting China from 28 October to 3 November 2018. This marks his first official visit to the country in his capacity as the head of UNDP.
His visit will include high-level discussions on UNDP's strategic partnership with China, the reform of the UN development system, and China's contributions to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development both at home and around the world.
Mr. Steiner will also co-chair the annual forum for the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) and host a reception with partners in China on the future of development needs.
During his visit, Steiner will use a fuel cell vehicle from one of UNDP's projects in China to promote clean energy solutions in transportation.
