- Celebrating with launch of KEF limited edition, demonstration class SACD -
HONG KONG, April 23 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- High-end loudspeaker brand KEF -- world leader in its class and backed by nearly 50 years of loudspeaker design and technology -- today unveils a new image for its three stores in Hong Kong. Previously known as iTheatre, each store is rebranded as KEF Store to showcase KEF loudspeakers and audio-visual electronics for discerning hi-fi enthusiasts. To celebrate its stores with a new look, KEF is launching a new promotion item - a limited edition SACD of demonstration-class sound quality enabling listeners to immerse themselves in the superb sound of KEF speakers.
"We are excited by this rebranding, as the KEF Stores will more accurately communicate our brand values and better serve our customers," said Grace Lo, General Manager of GP Acoustics (HK) Limited. "Each KEF Store will be a one-stop home entertainment solution provider, offering an ideal environment for high-quality product demonstrations and a full range of expert audio-visual consulting services."
Full range of KEF speakers
All three KEF Stores carry the full range of KEF loudspeakers, including iPod and home theatre systems, top-of-the-line Muon and Reference Series, and special edition products like the XQ Series in white.
Complementing brand name AV equipment
Plus, customers can experience and choose from a range of premium stereo and audio-visual equipment, including DVD and Blu-ray players, amplifiers, projectors, and AV components.
Comprehensive AV consulting services
The stores offer a full range of services -- from pre-sale consultations and demonstrations by professional AV consultants, to after-sales care and maintenance including expert installation.
The consultants offer recommendations based on customer needs -- such as for solutions tailored to particular spatial requirements or special interior designs.
Outstanding new SACD
"Of course, customers may request personal demonstrations of specific models as well as listening sessions of their favourite kinds of music," said Grace Lo. "They can experience the outstanding sound of our brand-new, 'KEF ultimate resolution demonstration SACD edition No. 2, the heart of living sound', which we created in partnership with Universal Music. With the SACD plus KEF speakers, customers can enjoy the stunning quality of instruments such as the Steinway piano and Stradivarius violin, as well as fully appreciate the vocal skills of artists such as Natalie Cole, and jazz musicians fusing as one."
The SACD is not for sale. However, from 1 May to 30 June, customers purchasing KEF loudspeakers from any KEF Stores at total purchase exceeding HK$5,000 will receive a complimentary copy of the SACD, available while stock lasts.

About KEF
KEF was founded in 1961 by Raymond Cooke, who was determined to make KEF a company with a flair for the unusual and controversial in terms of speaker engineering, design and materials. In 1967, the most famous BBC LS3/5a Monitor Speaker using KEF drive units was developed; this generated an astonishing volume of sales worldwide. KEF flourished during the 1960s, and in 1970 received the first of two Queen's Awards for Export Achievement. Ten years of growth worldwide followed, and KEF's reputation as the leader in speaker engineering was set in stone. Under new ownership in 1992, KEF found itself with new ideas, a new personality and new products, while maintaining and strengthening its core values of innovation, quality and performance. These values have ensured that KEF has one of the best international reputations for audio excellence. For further information on KEF, please visit http://www.kef.com .
