RICS Asia Board Announces the Appointment of New Chairman

HONG KONG, Nov. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) today announced that Mr Chris Brooke has been elected as Chairman of RICS Asia Board for the next 3 years with immediate effect.

Mr Brooke is currently the President & CEO of CB Richard Ellis in Asia (excluding Japan and India) and is based in Beijing. He oversees the strategic direction and business operations of CB Richard Ellis in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore and South East Asia. He is also involved in the formulation of business strategy relating to the broader Asia Pacific platform operated by CB Richard Ellis.

Mr Chris Brooke, the new Chairman of RICS Asia Board said:

Mr Brooke grew up in Asia and is a Chartered Surveyor with over twenty years of experience in various fields of the property industry in the region.  Since 1992 he has been providing consultancy advice in relation to real estate markets and development projects in Hong Kong, mainland China and the Asia Pacific region and has participated within assignments associated with market research, feasibility studies, land premium negotiations, development projects and joint venture agreements.  In recent years, he has held a number of senior management positions at CB Richard Ellis.
