'Cento' is derived from the Italian word for 100 and all diamonds in the Cento Diamond Collection have a unique 100-facet cut, nearly twice the amount of a standard 57-facet cut diamond.  The 100-facet cut gives a longer sparkling light refraction and is highly sought after by lovers of fine jewellery. 

Inspired by the 100-facet cut, the Cento Diamond Collection is being promoted exclusively at Lane Crawford in Hong Kong for Valentine's Day using the theme of "100 Ways To Say I Love You."

To develop his innovative and patented signature cut of a brilliant round avant-garde diamond, it took Roberto Coin two years of cutting and re-cutting USD 4 million worth of rough diamonds. Today, the 100-facet cut applies to all stones in the Cento Diamond Collection weighing over 0.07 carats which fall in the clarity range from flawless to SI (small inclusions, not visible to the naked eye). Roberto Coin also chooses only colourless or nearly colourless diamonds from "conflict free" areas for Cento collection of rings, earrings, bracelets and pendants.
