MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 25, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- International Paper (NYSE: IP) today announced Cecilia Ho has been named President, IP Asia, effective May 1. Ho will assume responsibility for International Paper's industrial packaging, coated paperboard joint venture with Sun Paper, consumer packaging operations in the region as well as uncoated free sheet paper sales in Asia.

Cecilia joined IP in 2004 and held roles in strategic planning and general management in IP Asia.
In 2009, Cecilia was named into her current role as vice president and general manager, Pulp, where she led IP's global pulp business.
Ho replaces Paul Brown, who has been named President, IP India. Ho will report to Thomas Kadien, Senior Vice President, Consumer Packaging and IP Asia, and will reside in Shanghai, China.
