WHDI Heads to China for IIC-China

Exhibition in China follows successful CES launch of Lenovo IdeaPad tablet with embedded WHDI

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/-Asia -- Following a successful CES 2012 in Las Vegas, which saw the introduction of the Lenovo IdeaPad S2 7 tablet with embedded Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) technology, WHDI is now headed to China for the country's largest showcase of IC application technologies and high-end components -- IIC-China Conference and Exhibition.

IIC-China takes place February 23-24 at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. WHDI will hold meetings at Futian Shangri-La hotel, 4088 Yi Tian Road, Futian District, together with Amimon, a founding member of WHDI organization.

At the WHDI meeting room, visitors will see demonstrations of HD content from mobile devices to the TV and PCs to the TV, including top Chinese brands, and discuss business opportunities in this growing market.

The availability of WHDI based products continues to grow. Some of the latest announcements include:

  • Lenovo IdeaPad S2 7 tablet with integrated WHDI mirroring
  • Haier completely wireless TV, featuring wireless video as well as wireless power transmission
  • Belkin multi-input transmitter, IOGear multi-room solution, and HP WHDI stick -- all won CES 2012 innovation award
  • iPad and iPhone connected wirelessly through small WHDI adaptor to the big TV
