RICS Director Appointed to Head North Asia

HONG KONG, May 14, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The Asia Pacific Office of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) announces today the appointment of Mr. Ho Wen Peng, Jason as North Asia Director. Jason commenced his duty on 7 May 2012.

The new Director is responsible for developing and delivering the Business Plan in North Asian region including mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Working closely with the Local Members Boards / Committees, He will actively promote the adoption of RICS standards and qualifications across North Asia, the achievement of membership growth and retention targets. He will forge strong relationships with employers, governments and end-users of surveying services across North Asian countries, promoting the services and standards of property professionals in the land, property and built environment.

Jason joins RICS with a distinguished career and education background. He is a Town Planner with 23 years of professional experience in Singapore, Hong Kong, and mainland China. He started his planning career in the Singapore Urban Redevelopment Authority and he also served as a Director at Llewelyn-Davis (LD Asia), working on planning and design projects in Hong Kong and mainland China. His planning & design expertise include long-term strategic planning, site development master planning, preparation and submission of development applications and conducting planning studies and research.

Jason also has extensive experience in major infrastructure, housing and tourism projects for the public sector and private real estate development projects in Singapore and Hong Kong. In mainland China, he has been involved in planning and development projects for local governments and major developers in over 30 cities.

The Asia Pacific Business Unit, headed by RICS Asia Pacific Director Kaye Herald, now has Sachin Sandhir managing South Asia, Bill Jones managing ASEAN, Jason Ho, managing North Asia, and Darren Jensen moves into commercial development for the business unit.
