Contemporary design and an inspirational menu propel DotCod into a new phase

HONG KONG, Sept. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- This week marks the much-anticipated reopening of Dot Cod Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar following a top to toe overhaul of this well established dining destination.

Modern elegance underpins the restaurant's fresh facade, which features hand-picked new furnishings and luxurious carpets. The space is suffused with a subtle light to create a relaxed yet dynamic ambiance.

The final touch of elegance is delivered in the presentation of the dishes themselves. Each one is a work of art in its own right, perfectly reflecting the space's refined contemporary aesthetic. The revamped menu revolves around the highest quality, seasonal seafood complemented by fresh vegetables, leaves and herbs.

DotCod is committed to bringing Ocean conservation to the table through the use of responsibly sourced fish. We take great care to select and serve seafood from sustainable sources, whether local or international, according to the breeding season, whilst always encouraging our customers to try different variety of seafood in our endeavor to alleviate pressure from exploited stocks and also challenge their palates.

The menu has also received an overhaul under the creative direction of Executive Chef Jeffrey LeBon. Chef LeBon boasts a distinguished career history that includes stints at a number of the world's leading eateries, including "The 5th Floor" in San Francisco and "Rockpool" in Sydney. He is renowned for his meticulous attention to detail, his advanced cooking techniques and his ability to surprise his diners with innovative culinary creations.

Chef LeBon is a strong advocate for the environment, and has created a menu that revolves around carefully selected sustainable seafood - the first of its kind in Hong Kong. Daily seafood selections are flown direct from Australia, Europe, the U.S. and the U.K. and incorporated into tantalising fresh dishes, offered alongside a range of non-seafood options.

DotCod is owned and operated by the Hong Kong Cricket Club, one of the region's oldest sporting clubs. The restaurant occupies a generous 4,400 square foot on the basement level of Prince's Building and can comfortably seat up to 160 diners. With its prime location in the central business district, DotCod caters to the city's busy high flyers, from full breakfasts to corporate lunches and long late suppers.

Since its launch in 2000, DotCod has earned a reputation for excellence and gained a loyal following. The restaurant is often recognised by its peers and is regularly featured in leading publications such as the Michelin Guide and Tatler magazine. With its fresh new face, DotCod looks set to build on 12 years of success and become a permanent fixture in Hong Kong's fine dining scene.
