New award categories are added to reflect industry trends

HONG KONG, Nov. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- RICS Hong Kong Awards 2013 is officially open for nomination starting today (1 November 2012). Nomination period will be closed at 12nn on 14 December 2012 (Friday). This year, new award categories are added with an aim to reflect industry trends especially on heritage and innovation.

Following the tremendous success of the inaugural RICS Hong Kong Awards in 2012, RICS Hong Kong will organise again the Awards for the second year with an aim to recognise contribution and outstanding performance of agencies, teams and individuals in the industry. The annual Awards have been capturing a lot of attention in Hong Kong Property Industry, and in the first year, we had received more than 40 nominations and given out 12 awards to the winners.

The three new awards categories would touch on factors which highly reflect the team's contribution to the society such as heritage preservation and contribution to the community. The Organising Committee anticipates that the new award categories would receive positive response in the market. The annual awards are open to all and free to enter.

RICS Hong Kong Awards 2013 is open for nominations under the following categories:

Team Awards

1)       Retail Agency Team of the Year

2)       Industrial Agency Team of the Year

3)       Residential Agency Team of the Year

4)       Office Agency Team of the Year

5)       Property Management Team of the Year

6)       Project Management Team of the Year

7)       Best Project Team of the Year

8)       Best Deal of the Year

9)       Heritage Preservation Award of the Year (New!)

10)    Innovation Award of the Year (New!)

11)    Contribution to the Community Team of the Year (New!)

Individual Awards

1) Young Achiever of the Year (under 30 years old)

Property Person of the Year Award's winner will be recommended by the Jury Panel and will be invited to receive the award at RICS Hong Kong Annual Dinner to be held on 14 March 2013 at JW Marriott Hotel.

Note: Entries should relate to activities during the 2012 calendar year.
