Clarification Regarding an Article Published by The Wall Street Journal

HONG KONG, Dec. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to the erroneous statement about Mr. Chan Ting Lai ("Mr. Chan") in an article "Vegas Bet on Chinese VIPs Raises Red Flags With Feds" published in The Wall Street Journal ("The Journal") on 20 September 2012 ("the Article"), Mr. Chan has made a statutory declaration under oath and issued a clarification letter to the Journal. Mr Chan has stated that he has never, at any time, held or been in control of cash and assets worth US$250 million. In addition, he has never been queried by any regulatory authority or investigators referred to in the Article about US$250 million of cash or assets, and furthermore, he has never, at any time, encountered any situations in which he could not account to any relevant regulatory authorities for any cash or assets held by him or in his control. The Journal accepted his clarification and published that letter "Your News Article is Mistaken About Me" (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323297104578179271477553336.html) on 19 December 2012. The Journal also published a supplement under Correction & Amplification on the same day.
