New award categories reflect industry trends
HONG KONG, Oct. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Organised by RICS -- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, RICS Hong Kong Awards 2014 are officially open for nomination until 12nn, 13 December 2012 (Friday). To reflect latest industry trends and to recognise outstanding contribution of practitioners, the award categories and judging criteria have been carefully formulated with new categories introduced. RICS members will, for the first time ever, elect for winners of new awards.
One of the most anticipated events amongst practitioners in Hong Kong, the annual RICS Hong Kong Awards recognise outstanding contribution and performance of agencies, teams and individuals in local land, property, real estates and construction industries. Last year's RICS Hong Kong Awards was a resounding success with a total of 55 nominations received and 17 outstanding achievers of the industry awarded.
Built on the success of last year, new categories have been introduced to invite participation of more talented professionals. These include the "Professional Services Team Award of the Year" and "Boutique Property Consultant Award of the Year" categories. The revolutionary "Community Awards: Members Choice" also mark the first two awards to be voted by RICS members all over Asia and the world. With the vast and committed membership base of industry experts, of which 18,000 located in the Asia Pacific region, these new "Community Awards" will certainly capture the attention of many and usher the RICS Hong Kong Awards into a new era of further success.
The RICS Hong Kong Awards 2014 are open to all and free to enter. Nominations are invited for the following categories:

2) Industrial Team of the Year
3) Residential Team of the Year
4) Office Team of the Year
5) Property Management Team of the Year
6) Project Management Team of the Year
7) Best Deal of the Year
8) Boutique Property Consultant Award of the Year (New!)
9) Professional Services Team Award of the Year (New!)
Individual Awards
1) Young Achiever of the Year (under 30 years old)
Community Awards: Members Choice
1) Social Responsibility Award of the Year (New!)
2) Community Benefit Project of the Year (New!)
