2014-03-03 13:14 3843

HONG KONG, March 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Compass Offices, the largest Serviced Office provider in Hong Kong, will be co-launching the Suits for Success charity campaign on March 10th 2014. This is a clothing drive aimed at collecting unused work attire and donating it to Project Share, an organization that helps underprivileged youngsters gain internships.

Any item of clothing can be donated, from shirts to belts and suits to heels, and proud partners Women in Finance Asia, EasyVan, and Connected Group will all be contributing to the effort. Friends of the Earth are also involved and any clothes which cannot be selected by Project Share for their internship scheme will be recycled.

The way it works is simple and any company or individual can get involved. Compass Offices clients and visitors will be invited to donate any used professional clothing at a selection of Compass Offices' Hong Kong centres from March 10th to March 14th. SMEs can also join this campaign and use this as part of their CSR efforts; there will also be a number of large corporates involved too.

Compass Offices Vice President for Global Investment Alan Mackay commented on the initiative, "CSR is very important to us and the opportunity to partner with other companies for such a great cause was one that we couldn't miss. When approached to be involved as a sponsor we wanted to do more than just that, that's why we are allowing seven of our Hong Kong locations to be used as drop off points for the clothing drive. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for us and we look forward to working on more charitable and community campaigns in the future."

More information about Project Share

Project Share is run under Share (Asia Pacific) Limited, a Hong Kong registered non-profit organization aimed at connecting and empowering Hong Kong youth. They target young people with limited access, focusing mainly on those living in remote and low-opportunity districts such as Tin Shui Wai and Tung Chung. Their target students are 16-19 years of age and they equip them by placing them in organisations for work experience over the summer, and providing training by way of workshops related to self-awareness, confidence and practical tips such as interviewing skills. Through their programmes, they help build confidence and broaden horizons, equipping them to reach for bigger dreams.

Project Share will select office attire to share with the youth beneficiaries taking part in their internship programme, through which underserved local young adults aged 16-19 from low-opportunity areas are given suitable work attire for their summer internships to support their career development.
