43,758 Buyers Attended Specialized China Sourcing Fairs at Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo

Huge Gifts & Home Products Fair Opens Friday

HONG KONG, April 16 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- More than 43,000 buyers attended Global Sources' (Nasdaq: GSOL) China Sourcing Fairs for Electronics & Components, Fashion Accessories and Underwear & Swimwear -- up 17 percent from spring 2006. Buyers including Carrefour, Decathlon, Samsung and Sears came from 152 countries to attend the three Fairs at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, April 12-15.

The China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components attracted 30,041 buyers from 142 countries -- up 15 percent from the show last spring. Another 13,717 buyers from 108 countries attended the Fashion Accessories and Underwear & Swimwear shows.

China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Home Products is scheduled for April 20-23 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. Occupying all 10 halls of the venue, the show is set to feature more than 3,500 booths, including over 2,400 booths from mainland China alone.

Also set to exhibit are suppliers from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, India, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
