ACEM No.1 Asian Business School in 2015 Financial Times Global Executive MBA Rankings

SHANGHAI, Nov. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On 19 October 2015, the Financial Times in the UK (FT) released the 2015 FT Global Executive MBA ranking. This year is remarkable for two reasons. Not only is it the FT's 100th ranking of business schools, but the EMBA programs of Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Antai College of Economics & Management (ACEM) and China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) are on the list, ranking 10th and 16th respectively. It is the first time for ACEM EMBA to enter the global Top 10 and rank No. 1 together with the EMBA program of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

ACEM's EMBA program ranked 32nd when it was first nominated by FT in 2013, rising to 17th last year and entering the Top 10 this year. Thanks to China's rapid economic growth, the ranking of ACEM's EMBA program has risen steadily in three consecutive years, which demonstrates gradual improvement on the college's educational capability. As one of the earliest China-foreign cooperative educational institutions, CEIBS has long been considered one of the benchmarks of China's management education. In the context of the enhancement of China's comprehensive economic strength, with years of effort, Chinese local business schools represented by ACEM are narrowing the gap with world leading business schools. ACEM's EMBA program ranking in the FT's Top 10 is an important milestone in the college's strategic goal of "leadership in China, first-rate in Asia, renowned across the world and ultimately world-class". Currently, both ACEM's Master's program in Management and MBA program have entered the FT global Top 100, ranking 36th and 55th respectively. This May, ACEM's executive development program ranked 15th worldwide, first among Asian business schools.

The high-level talent training and scientific research strength of ACEM faculty provide strong academic support for the development of the College. In the latest QS World University Rankings, four disciplines in economics and management (Accounting and Finance, Business and Management, Economics and Econometrics, Statistics and Operational Research) of SJTU were ranked in the top 100, with Statistics and Operational Research in the top 50.

Over the past decade, ACEM's EMBA program has focused on the profound changes of global economic patterns and grasped the growth pulse of Chinese enterprises. We are a college that excels at learning and is brave in innovating. By fully leveraging the advantages of SJTU as a comprehensive university, we integrate a wide range of alumni and social resources, constantly improving the alignment between engineering and management disciplines and the connections between university and industry. Based on a unique EMBA curriculum system with ACEM characteristics, we have built a best-in-class platform for systematically exploring business theory and practice, a platform widely recognized by entrepreneurs.
