Achievo Attains ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Certification for all of its Asia Software Development Centers

Achievo pioneers information security standards for offshore IT management

SAN RAMON, Calif., Aug. 20 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Achievo(R) Corporation, a software outsourcing and information technology services provider, today announced that it has earned ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification, the internationally recognized standard for information security management, for its software development facilities in Tokyo, Japan and Dalian, China. The ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification of these two remaining facilities completes Achievo’s quest to certify all seven of its IT outsourcing operations in Asia. In addition, all of Achievo’s software development centers worldwide have attained or are in the process of attaining third party certifications as part of Achievo’s emphasis on security and protection of the intellectual property of its outsourcing customers.

ISO/IEC 27001:2005 is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets and establish a high level of confidence to interested parties.
