AsiaInfo-Linkage Signs NG-BOSS 3.0 and NG-BASS 3.0 Upgrade Contracts

BEIJING and SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 28, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- AsiaInfo-Linkage, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASIA) ("AsiaInfo-Linkage" or the "Company"), a leading provider of telecommunications software solutions and related services, today announced that it has signed five Next Generation Business Operation Support System ("NG-BOSS") 3.0 version upgrade contracts with Gansu Mobile, Inner Mongolia Mobile, Qinghai Mobile, Tianjin Mobile and Xinjiang Mobile and two Next Generation Business Analysis Support System ("NG-BASS") 3.0 version upgrade contracts with Qinghai Mobile and Zhejiang Mobile. All are provincial subsidiaries of China Mobile, the largest telecommunications operator in the world.

"Competition among China's three telecom carriers is driving demand for our best-of-class IT solutions," said AsiaInfo-Linkage President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Zhang. The NG-BOSS 3.0 upgrades will optimize billing and accounting functionality including increased information sharing capabilities and more accurate real-time billing capacity. Moreover, the NG-BOSS 3.0 upgrades will improve the carrier's CRM functionality, including more efficient e-channel operation, customized business management procedure and the development of a multi-tiered customer service system with an emphasis on VIP and corporate customers. The NG-BASS 3.0 upgrade will expand the application of the current system, enhance customer analysis and optimize business analysis and targeted marketing solutions."  

For the past two years, AsiaInfo-Linkage has worked on China Mobile's NG-BOSS Phase-I rollout, or version 1.0, before signing contracts to upgrade NG-BOSS to version 2.0, which primarily took place in early 2010. The Company continues to make progress in the signing of additional contracts to upgrade NG-BOSS to version 3.0 in order to provide a more comprehensive bundled solution, enhance TD-SCDMA functionality and improve customer service quality.

Similarly in the past two years, AsiaInfo-Linkage has been upgrading China Mobile's Business Intelligence ("BI") systems to accommodate the rollout of the carrier's TD-SCDMA 3G network. The Company has worked on China Mobile's NG-BASS Phase-I rollout, or version 1.0, before signing NG-BASS Phase-II, or version 2.0 upgrade contracts in the first half of 2010. AsiaInfo-Linkage is targeting to sign additional NG-BASS 3.0 upgrade contracts in order to provide carriers with an integrated solution that will enhance business applications and marketing solutions.

AsiaInfo-Linkage currently provides NG-BOSS systems for 18 of 31 China Mobile subsidiaries. BI systems are currently installed at China Mobile's headquarters and 18 of 31 China Mobile subsidiaries.
