(NYSE: AVT) kicks off the Asian round of its flagship design engineering training seminar, X-fest 2014 in Beijing today. Avnet has cemented its reputation as a trusted leader through the biennial X-fest technical seminars offering practical, how-to training for FPGA, SoC, DSP and embedded systems design that benefit the design engineering community globally.

Held from November 4 to December 16, X-fest Asia features training seminars across 15 cities in Asia; including Mainland China (nine cities), Taiwan (two cities), Korea, India, Australia and Singapore. X-fest Beijing will boast a full-fledged program with 12 technical courses from three educational tracks based on Xilinx's All Programmable devices, including the newly introduced UltraScale™ product family. The three educational tracks include Zynq and the Internet of Things (IoT); Design Essentials; and Techniques and Applications.
