BEIJING, May 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- 2016 World Winter Sports (Beijing) Expo (WWSE), aiming at driving the development of winter sports industry and supporting the preparation of Beijing Winter Olympics, will take place at Beijing National Convention Center on Oct 19-22, 2016.

WWSE is a premium international exhibition focusing on winter sports and the winter sports industry, and has received support from international organizations, according to the organizers Beijing Olympic City Development Association and International Data Group (IDG) on a press conference today. The first WWSE will consist of exhibition, conference and relative activities, covering topics of winter sports, winter sports industry, winter tourism, and youth training. The WWSE will be held annually starting from 2016.

As a key project of the Beijing Municipal Government to gear up the development of snow and ice sports in 2016-2022, also to follow the guidance from Chinese leaders, to "host the Winter Olympics to bring 300 million Chinese people to participate in the snow and ice sports", the organizers plan to promote winter sports in China through building the WWSE into an important platform connecting China with international winter sports resources in the next 5 years and thus propelling the development of winter sports industry in China. This will solidify Chinese people's understanding of the snow and ice sports culture and speed up the development of the sports industry, including the winter sports industry, in the county.

Recruitment of domestic and international exhibitors as well as guest invitation has kicked off. For more information, please visit the official site at: www.wwse2022.com.
