China Intelligent Lighting and Electronics, Inc.'s LED Street Lamps Pass the International Commission on Illumination's 127-1997 Standard Test

HUIZHOU, China, March 4, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- China Intelligent Lighting and Electronics, Inc. ("China Intelligent" or "the Company") (NYSE Amex: CIL), a leading provider of lighting solutions that engages in the design, manufacture, sales and marketing of high-quality LED and other lighting products, today announced that its LED street lamps have passed the International Commission on Illumination's ("CIE") 127-1997 Standard Test, conducted by National Lighting Test Center.  China Intelligent's LED street lamps have already passed tests conducted by Bureau of Quality and Technology Supervision of Dongguan City, Guangdong Province.

Ms. Li Xuemei, Chairman and CEO of China Intelligent, said, "The results of these tests show that our LED street lamps have outstanding performance in terms of luminous efficiency, luminance and uniformity.  Our investments are focused on building our brand and our market share in the LED space.  Our new production lines and expanded LED R&D facilities enabled our company to introduce new LED street lamps successfully last year.  The LED street lamps are completely free from glare, and have lifetimes of over 50,000 hours, which is 5-10 times the life of traditional street lamps."

The Company has invested approximately US$ 1 million in its LED street lamp production lines.  China Intelligent's LED street lamps are 72 lumens per watt, as compared to peer companies' lamps that average 65 lumens per watt.
