Sheraton Sanya Resort Helps Guests Stay Connected with Link@Sheraton

SANYA, China, June 5 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- On 1 June 2009, International Children's Day, 21 children from the Bright Connection Brain Damaged Children Center in Sanya again celebrated and enjoyed a special day full of love and care at Sheraton Sanya Resort. (The Bright Connection in Sanya was founded by an American couple, Mr. and Mrs. Davis, in 2004. It offers recovery exercises to children with cerebral palsy, autism, developmental delays and impaired hearing.)

In order to ensure the kids enjoy a happy festival like normal kids on Children's Day, the Resort well prepared children's facilities and activities. The kids not only enjoyed a fun-filled time in a bouncing castle with three lovely mascots as companions, but also tasted the cookies made by them during the dinner. Besides, talented Chefs prepared delicious and nutritious food for them as well.

The same day, Sheraton Sanya Resort announced that it has introduced a new way to keep guests connected in comfort while on the road. The Link@Sheraton is one of many Sheraton initiatives at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Asia Pacific, and that reinforces the brand's values of offering its guests signature services and amenities in a warm, comfortable environment that will help keep them connected to what matters to them most.

With the introduction of Link@Sheraton, Sheraton Hotels help guests stay connected by offering both business and leisure travelers access to the same resources they would have in the comfort of their home or office, at anytime during their stay. With its exciting design mixed with interactive opportunities, the Link@Sheraton invites guests to step out of their rooms and connect with the community. The Link offers a secure and enjoyable area for guests to work, relax or just hang out. It is their immediate connection to getting connected.

The Link@Sheraton experience begins as guests make their way through the hotel lobby and enter a signature designed communal lounge area. The Link features multiple internet-enabled workstations complete with free 24/7 Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, from where guests can surf the Internet, email loved ones, review local attractions and even print out boarding passes while relaxing with family, friends and business colleagues. The lounge area at the heart of the Link offers an eclectic range of activities where guests can catch up on domestic and international news with a diverse selection of newspapers and magazines, or watch the latest on sports and news on the plasma television. As guests gather and meet new friends, they can also enjoy their favourite board games.

To add to the experience, an extensive range of food and beverage options are offered around the clock. All this to ensure that guests experiencing the Link at Sheraton hotels do indeed find a warm comforting environment to catch up on work, meet new friends or to just hang out.

"At Sheraton Sanya Resort, we provide our guests with a sense of community, helping them connect to what is important to them. In the Link@Sheraton guests will find a warm, comfortable environment where they can catch up on work, email their family and friends or just sit back and relax," said Stephen Ford, General Manager of Sheraton Sanya Resort, Vice President, Area Managing Director of South China. "This unique initiative will help our guests stay in touch with their home base, as well as the city they are visiting no matter where their travels take them all through the year, 24 hours a day."
