With both the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee taking place this year, the eyes of the world will turn to the UK in 2012. As part of the ongoing global GREAT campaign launched by Prime Minister David Cameron, the British Consulate-General Hong Kong is hosting a gala event to showcase the UK's creativity, innovation and technology talent.
Highlighting Hong Kong's long-standing connection to the UK, the event will bring together future leaders, top business figures, local and international celebrities and young entrepreneurs in a theme of red, white and blue. Luxury fashion designer Julien Macdonald will represent the UK fashion industry, while Chef Adam Byatt will serve the latest in modern British cuisine.
This exclusive event is by invitation only, but buses and screens around the city will carry the GREAT campaign to exhibit the multi-faceted appeal of modern Britain.
