(NasdaqGM: CAGC) ("China Agritech", or the "Company"), a leading organic compound fertilizer manufacturer and distributor in China, today announced that the Board of Directors, based on the recommendation of the Company's Audit Committee, has appointed Ernst & Young Hua Ming to replace Crowe Horwath LLP as the Company's independent auditor starting from Nov 13, 2010.
The appointment of Ernst & Young Hua Ming was made after thorough consideration by the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors of the Company. The decision to change auditors was not the result of any disagreements between the Company and Crowe Horwath on any matters of accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure, or auditing scope or procedure.
