China Medical Technologies to Hold its Annual General Meeting on November 16, 2009

BEIJING, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- China Medical Technologies, Inc. (the "Company") (Nasdaq: CMED), a leading China-based medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets advanced in-vitro diagnostic products, today announced that the Company will hold its annual general meeting of shareholders at the Company's office at 24 Yong Chang North Road, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, Beijing 100176, the People's Republic of China on November 16, 2009 at 9:00 a.m., local time. Holders of record of ordinary shares of the Company at the close of business on October 2, 2009 are entitled to vote at the annual general meeting or any adjournment thereof in person or by proxy. Holders of the Company's American Depositary Shares ("ADSs") who wish to exercise their voting rights for the underlying ordinary shares should follow the instructions that they receive from the depositary of the Company's ADS program, Citibank, N.A.
