("China Sky One Medical" or "the Company") (Nasdaq: CSKI), a leading fully integrated pharmaceutical company in the People's Republic of China ("PRC"), today announced that Mr. Hubert Cooleman, Flemish economic representative for the North of the PRC and Mongolia, visited Harbin Tian Di Ren Medical Company ("TDR"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Sky One, in Harbin on May 26, 2009.
China Sky One management presented and discussed the Company's recent developments with Mr. Cooleman, including its strong product portfolio, its expanded international sales network, and its ongoing research and development projects. In his capacity as economic representative for the North of the PRC, Mr. Cooleman provided suggestions for expanding into Belgium, one of the most advanced countries in the field of biomedical engineering, in order to strengthen ties with the Chinese market.
At the end of the Company's meeting with Mr. Cooleman, a tentative business proposal was reached, which served as a memorandum for the efforts of all parties involved in the discussions. This covered a number of areas, including market entry into both Belgium and China as well as research and development cooperation between both countries.
