China XD Plastics Announces Production Capacity Increases to 100,000 Tons

HARBIN, China, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- China XD Plastics Company Limited ("China XD Plastics" or the "Company"), (Nasdaq: CXDC), the largest Chinese developer, manufacturer, and distributor of modified plastics primarily for use in the automotive applications in China, today announced that it has expanded its modified plastics production capacity to 100,000 tons.

In December 2009, China XD Plastics procured 12 additional automatic production lines equipped with state-of-the-art equipment made by top-tier international manufacturers. Currently, the total number of operational production lines is 31 compared to 19 at the end of 2008. The additional production lines have been installed and are at the final stages of trial production tests. The additional lines are expected to be fully commissioned at the beginning of the second quarter of 2010, ahead of the original schedule. The Company's realistic total annual production capacity is estimated to be approximately 100,000 tons, 42.9% increase compared to 70,000 tons in 2009.
