BEIJING, Sept. 16 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- In a recent report from Himfr ( http://www.himfr.com ), China's export of washing machines ( http://www.cheaponsale.com/buy-washing_machine/ ) remained at a comparatively high growth rate in 2008.

According to customs export data, the report shows that by the end of June, China export of washing machines reached 74.2 million sets, with a total export amount of 935 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 31.15% compared with last year.

From the first six months of total exports in 2008, Asia, Europe and Latin America are still China's main washing machine export markets. Of these, Asian markets have the highest share with 49.62 percent of China's washing machine exports.

2008 exports to the European market increased by 22.66 percent, with roller washing machines ( http://www.cheaponsale.com/Products/ ) being the major product, which also reflects the domestic enterprises efforts to strengthen exploration of the European market. The leading domestic brand, Haier, enjoys solid exports to Europe through their roller washing machines, while Latin America still exports mainly semi-automatic washing machines ( http://www.cheaponsale.com/proc/list.php?kw=semi-automatic+washing+machines&src=product ).

From the total export amount, Cixi, Ningbo, Suzhou, Nanjing and Pudong are China's washing machine export hubs. In the January through June total, these five areas had total washing machines exports of about 5.3 million sets which accounted for 71.4% of total exports. Among them, Cixi exported 2.093 million sets, becoming the first washing machine export region. It is understood that there are more than 50 areas in Cixi focusing on washing machine manufacturing enterprises.
