Former Ansaldo Energia Senior Leader Spent Career In Energy Industry Service and Manufacturing

ORANGEBURG, N.Y., Oct. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Chromalloy, a leading producer of turbine engine repairs and advanced coatings, today announced the appointment of a new president to lead the company toward growth and expansion in the aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) markets.

Carlo Luzzatto, a seasoned energy industry business leader, comes to Chromalloy from Ansaldo Energia, a division of the Italian conglomerate Finmeccanica S.p.A., and a leading provider of power plant equipment and power generation services where he was serving as Co-General Manager.

Luzzatto succeeds Lauzon, who held the leadership position since 2008. Lauzon will become the company's Chief Executive Officer and is also Chief Executive Officer of Sequa Corporation, Chromalloy's parent company.

Prior to joining Ansaldo Energia, Luzzatto was General Manager of GE's RotorFlow unit, within GE Oil and Gas.  During his several years at GE he held other senior management positions in the U.S. and Europe, including roles in Project Management, and strategic mergers and acquisitions in oil and gas industry.

Luzzatto began his career at Finmeccanica in Italy, holding a variety of technical, engineering and business leadership positions.

He holds a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Genoa in Genoa, Italy.
