World's Biggest Business-to-Business Real Estate Event Brand Returns to Shanghai with Strong Support from CCREA and CACC

SHANGHAI and SINGAPORE, April 21 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Investors and developers worldwide are now setting their sights on the thriving real estate market in China. With this growing market demand, the world's biggest business-to-business real estate event brand Cityscape China will return for the second year to Shanghai.

Cityscape China 2008 is a renowned international real estate investment and development event and is organised by Institute for International Research (IIR). The event will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Pudong from 25 to 27 June 2008.

Cityscape China 2008 is proud to be working together and receiving the support from key government bodies and industry associations in China such as the China Commercial Real Estate Association (CCREA) and the Chinese Government via the Ministry of Architecture and Planning (CACC). In addition, experts from the Ministry of Construction, Zhongguancun Real Estate Chamber of Commerce, Council of Asian Shopping Malls and Bureau of Shanghai World Expo will be at Cityscape China 2008 to provide their perspectives on China's real estate and property industry.

"China is a huge market with tremendous investment potential. According to a survey conducted by Oriental Morning Post and Sohu.com in March 2008, real estate is the most profitable industry in China, with property investments totalling 2.5 trillion yuan (US$ 356.06 billion). Our goal is to create a 'must-attend' platform for those interested in this burgeoning real estate and property industry in China," Said Mr Graham Wood, Exhibition Director and organiser of Cityscape China.

In addition to the conference, Cityscape China's growing exhibition will bring together regional and international investors, architects and designers, property developers, government authorities and senior professionals involved in the design and construction of public and private property developments. Many leading industry players such as Bahrain Economic Development Board, MGM CityCenter, Fortune Group and Trident Properties have already confirmed their participation at the event.

In line with the emergence of innovative architecture in China to meet the needs of its continual urbanisation, booming economy and rapid pace of change, this three-day event also includes the World Architecture Congress China. This congress will discuss the insights, innovations and inspiration behind iconic design and architecture pieces, such as the National Aquatics Centre (the Watercube), that are transforming China's landscape and skyline.

"This year's Cityscape China will ride on the success of the inaugural 2007 event that attracted more than 50 exhibitors and 5,000 participants from 53 countries. Our key focuses this year are investment and development opportunities in the major cities plus increased marketing to the second and third tier cities. The huge response from our recent presentation at China's Commercial Real Estate Annual Conference 2008 further affirms the industry's interest in the event," Mr Wood added.

Cityscape China is an extension of the phenomenally successful Cityscape Dubai, organised by IIR Middle East, which also expanded to Abu Dhabi, India, Asia and South America. Cityscape Dubai 2007 smashed all previous attendance records with 52,000 participants from more than 120 countries.
