DDB Appoints New Managing Director in Guangzhou

HONG KONG, Nov. 19 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Reflecting the ongoing growth and new wins in Greater China, DDB has appointed Gordon Hughes as Managing Director for DDB in Guangzhou.

John Zeigler, President & CEO, DDB Asia Pacific & Japan said: "We are very pleased to have Gordon join us to lead the Guangzhou business. With our increased focus on China and Southern China, establishing our Guangzhou office is a clear statement of intent to our clients. We see a strong role for the office in driving our clients’ business -- particularly Wrigley’s which we picked up last month."

Gordon Hughes will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the Guangzhou office. Gordon has more than 15 years experience in Greater South China having worked in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Guangzhou. Prior to his role at DDB, Gordon was Executive Creative Director for Leo Burnett, Guangzhou, Greater China. He has a broad range of experience which crosses many industries and clients including: Hennessy, Philip Morris, Konica, Star Cruises, Prudential, Heineken, China Telecom, and Wrigley’s.
