The conference — the latest in Bloomberg BNA's Global Transfer Pricing Conference series with Baker & McKenzie, in association with the Tax Management Educational Institute — will be held September 17-18, 2015 in Shanghai, China. With the expected completion of the OECD/G20's Action Plan on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) in September, multinational organizations will be operating under a new set of international standards and need to be prepared for this seismic shift in the global tax landscape. At the conference, China's role in the global economy will be in focus. The BEPS Action Plan will require multinationals to provide much more rigorous and timely documentation since transactions between foreign and Chinese entities will be more closely scrutinized, including new approaches to measure whether transactions are truly arm's length. The conference will address these and other issues impacting multinationals operating in China.
