ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bloomberg BNA today announced that Dr. Tizhong Liao, Director General of International Taxation in the State Administration of Taxation, China, will be the featured keynote speaker to open the Global Transfer Pricing Conference.  The conference — the latest in Bloomberg BNA's Global Transfer Pricing Conference series with Baker & McKenzie, in association with the Tax Management Educational Institute — will be held September 17-18, 2015 in Shanghai, China.  The event, which is being co-organized by Vision Events, takes place at the Jing An Shangri-La Hotel and registration is available here.

With the expected completion of the OECD/G20's Action Plan on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) in September, multinational organizations will be operating under a new set of international standards and need to be prepared for this seismic shift in the global tax landscape.  At the conference, China's role in the global economy will be in focus.  The BEPS Action Plan will require multinationals to provide much more rigorous and timely documentation since transactions between foreign and Chinese entities will be more closely scrutinized, including new approaches to measure whether transactions are truly arm's length.  The conference will address these and other issues impacting multinationals operating in China.

Attendees will hear directly from Dr. Tizhong Liao about the China tax administration's plans and initiatives related to the BEPS Action Plan and other transfer pricing tax issues providing unique insight into potential impacts on their operations.  Policymakers and government speakers from Australia, Korea, Malaysia, the United Nations, the United States and other jurisdictions will also participate, as well as industry representatives and transfer pricing-focused advisors.
