Following this speech, Business France China will deploy a campaign to promote French economic influence in China. Some of the visuals that will be used in the campaign were presented today to the French President, Francois Hollande.

Entitled "Creative France", the campaign in China will form an integral part of an international effort led by Business France in enhancing the awareness of the strengths of French industrial and economic dynamism, innovation potential, cultural and artistic vitality. It also highlights the radiation and the innovation capacity of French companies, which export their expertise worldwide.

The campaign will be deployed over the next 16 months and also take place in South Korea, Japan, Singapore, India, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates.

Creative France has developed strategies and communication resources to promote France's business image: pictures, figures, facts, success stories and personal accounts, etc. The campaign website will showcase French creativity and innovation in fields such as technology, health, environment, industry, fashion, gastronomy science and culture.

Both major corporations and fledgling start-ups will be invited to take part, whether they are French firms that illustrate French flair or foreign players that cement France's attractiveness to investors. Among them, the startup Rosa (robotic system to support neurosurgery), edjing mobile app for DJ, Airbus E-Fan, the jet prototype the computer school 42 created by Xavier Niel, Thierry Marx, a figure of molecular gastronomy, mathematician Cédric Villani, and the world leader in high technology Safran.

The communication artwork of the campaign specially chosen for China will seek to reflect the boundless future and potential for innovation and creativity between our two countries, showcasing creative French talent in the areas of green technology, aerospace, cuisine, healthcare, and new technologies.

France is a top destination for Chinese investments in Europe and over 200 Chinese companies have already invested in France, and have created about 20 000 jobs. Recently several landmarked projects were implemented – including CIC stake acquisition in Engie (ex GDF-Suez), Fosun takeover of Club Méditerrannée, and the scope of investments have broadened to new sectors such as IT (Lenovo, Haier), Finance (Bank of China, CCB) and tourism (HNA, Fosun).
