Fushi Copperweld Names James P. Hanrahan Vice President of Operations

BEIJING, September 27, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Fushi Copperweld Inc., (the "Company") (Nasdaq: FSIN), the leading global manufacturer and innovator of copper-clad bimetallic wire used in a variety of telecommunication, utility, transportation and other electrical applications, today announced the appointment of James P. (J.P.) Hanrahan to the position of Vice President of Operations. In this role, Mr. Hanrahan will be responsible for developing strategy and areas of improvement throughout Fushi Copperweld's global operations as well as establishing performance goals and monitor performance to ensure progress, continuous improvement and business growth are in line with the Company's overall global business strategy.

Mr. Hanrahan brings over 32 years of global sales, supply chain and operational experience. Previously, Mr. Hanrahan was with Thomson, a provider of digital technologies serving the global media & entertainment industries, where he worked for over 30 years in a series of positions with increasing responsibility. Most recently at Thomson, Mr. Hanrahan held the dual roles of General Manager of Worldwide Corporate Programs, managing projects related to the company's overall supply chain, operations, and IT integration programs, and General Manager Worldwide Sales for Thomson Displays, optimizing the company's global sales efforts. Mr. Hanrahan began his career as a Manufacturing Supervisor of the Fisher Body Division at General Motors. Mr. Hanrahan has worked extensively in the United States, Japan, Korea, China, Western and Eastern Europe, Mexico and South America. Mr. Hanrahan holds degrees in Political Science and Psychology from Ball State University.
