Giant Interactive Group Inc. - Selling Shareholder Commences Secondary Follow-on Offering of ADSs

SHANGHAI, June 5, 2013 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Giant Interactive Group Inc. (NYSE: GA) ("Giant" or the "Company"), one of China's leading online game developers and operators, announced today that Vogel Holding Group Limited ("Selling Shareholder"), an affiliate of Mr. Yuzhu Shi, the chairman of Giant, had commenced an underwritten public offering of 15,137,853 American Depositary Shares, or ADSs, held by it. The Selling Shareholder also intends to grant the underwriter an option to purchase up to an additional 2,270,678 ADSs solely to cover over-allotments. Giant will not receive any proceeds from the sale of ADSs in the offering. Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc is acting as the sole bookrunner for the offering.
