HONG KONG, Dec. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hong Kong Airlines is pleased to announce that two global aviation veterans have joined the Company. Mr Chan Kwok Wing has been appointed as Director, Corporate Safety, Quality Assurance & Security Department, responsible for the overall strategy, development and management of that department. Meanwhile, Mr Christopher Birt took up the role of General Manager, Inflight Services in the Service Delivery Department, responsible for managing service and performance standards for the cabin crew.
Mr Chan Kwok Wing, Director of Corporate Safety, Quality Assurance & Security Department, has 27 years of working experience in the international aviation corporations, specializing in safety and quality assurance. Prior to joining Hong Kong Airlines, he was Head of Corporate safety and Quality at Dragonair. Mr Chan served in various management positions at internationally renowned industry players including BAE Systems Plc. and Airbus, accumulating profound professional knowledge and ample experience of flight safety.
Mr Christopher Birt, General Manager, Inflight Services of Service Delivery Department, possesses almost 20 years of experience in aviation and has a broad expertise in front-line operation. Before taking up his current position, Mr Birt was the Head of Cabin Crew at Thomson Airways, leading the Cabin Services Department with responsibility of cabin crew development and management. He also held key role at Virgin Atlantic Airways prior to that.
