The two shows, International IC-Taiwan Conference & Exhibition (IIC-Taiwan) ( http://www.taiwan.iicexpo.com ) and SEMICON Taiwan ( http://www.semicontaiwan.org ) are scheduled to run from Sept. 9-11, 2008 at the Taipei World Trade Center.

"The co-located shows are expected to enable design engineers to see and learn about all products and technologies covering electronics development -- from design to manufacturing," said Mark A. Saunderson, President of Global Sources’ Electronics Business Unit. "The new format is designed to give vendors a stronger platform to engage current and prospective customers."

Now in its 13th year, SEMICON Taiwan is the region’s largest event showcasing semiconductor production and processing technologies. IIC-Taiwan has a 15-year track record and is the largest trade show for electronic design automation and embedded solutions.

President of SEMI Southeast Asia, Terry Tsao, said: "This is an exciting milestone for both our organizations and for Taiwan’s electronics industry. This new co-located event is expected to be bigger and better with conference programs that engage some of the foremost thought leaders in the semiconductor manufacturing and electronics design industries."
