Honeywell Sponsors USA National Pavilion at World Expo 2010, Shanghai

Company to contribute technologies to help lower energy usage and increase safety and security

SHANGHAI, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced a sponsorship commitment worth US$625,000 to the USA National Pavilion at World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.

The sponsorship includes Honeywell products and solutions, such as advanced building automation and digital public address systems, that will support the "Better City, Better Life" theme of the World Expo 2010.

One of the technologies contributed will be Honeywell Web-Enabling Building Solutions (WEBS) that optimizes energy consumption, create a secured and safe environment. In addition, Honeywell will help manage its project, contribute design ideas and provide onsite maintenance to the 6,000-square meter USA National Pavilion that will have many environmental features.

Worldwide, Honeywell has completed more than 5,000 energy efficiency projects that saved US$3 billion in energy and operating costs globally. If the U.S. and Europe were to aggressively use existing Honeywell technologies, they could reduce the current level of energy consumption by between 15 and 20 percent.
