Hotel Software Keeps Contractor Productivity on Track

BRISBANE, Australia, December 16, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Australian-based marketing and software development company, Intouch Data Pty Ltd (ITD) has continued its assault on the Asian accommodation market with the acquisition of new client, SIX SENSES RESORTS & SPAS.

In a coup for the Australian software industry, ITD has been engaged by Six Senses Resorts & Spas - one of the world's most widely recognised luxury hotel and resort brands to roll out its Account Converge product; a dynamic web-based solution that provides unrivalled access to productivity of hotel corporate accounts, travel agencies, PCO's and wholesalers.

According to ITD managing director, Peter Johnson Account Converge was designed to meet a major void in the market and allows hotel groups to seamlessly consolidate, and report and analyse sales figures.

"Account Converge creates a platform for monitoring contractor accountability by allowing hoteliers to track and report production for contracted accounts across entire groups or clusters."

Whilst the product is reasonably well established in Australia, Mr. Johnson is not surprised at the level of interest now being generated from Asia.

Account Converge maps all accounts across hotel groups or clusters and returns a simple de-duplicated list of accounts from corporate and travel industry bases, and delivers up to date sales figures with the click of a mouse.

It is according to Six Senses Resorts & Spas' Marie Giuge-Perry, Chief Sales Officer, a product that is expected to yield solid returns for the group.

"When Account Converge first came to our attention we weren't convinced; however after meeting ITD's managing director and reviewing the product in action, we knew the returns would be significant."

This according to Mr. Johnson is not an uncommon response, "I often hear a sigh of relief when hoteliers see Account Converge in action."

The program, which has been designed for multiple property application and links multiple profiles to a single central account, allows subsidiaries or related entities to track against a master profile. Once profiles from the property management systems (PMS) are linked, the link remains permanent unless the account is manually changed or deleted or the profile has been re-assigned.

At the essence of Account Converges appeal is its ability to take away the need to manually cut, paste and merge spread sheets to try and gain a better understanding of productivity.

"Account Converge ensures multiple profiles for the same organisation are tracked - regardless of spelling, coding or how many or few properties have that profile. We have removed what has been a traditionally labour intensive and costly process of tracking and analysing key contractor productivity and replaced it with a simple, cost efficient and data rich business tool."

In the case of Six Senses Resorts & Spas, where multiple properties and business entities exist across diverse geographic regions, Account Converge is being used to consolidate and cleanse corporate and travel contractor profiles, so as to provide a much more accurate picture of actual room nights produced.
