KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Sept. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The successful branch of the world's leading security, safety and fire protection event and the 1st ever Southeast Asia edition, IFSEC SOUTHEAST ASIA 2013 has officially opened earlier on Sept. 11 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The Opening Ceremony was officiated by the Guest of Honour, YDH Tan Sri Dato' Sri Khalid Bin Abu Bakar, The Inspector General of Royal Malaysian Police accompanied by the Chairman of United Business Media (M) Sdn Bhd, Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato' Dr. Ahmad Mustaffa Babjee and the President of Asian Professional Security Association (APSA), Yang Berbahagia Dato Sri Haji Mustapa Bin Haji Ali. In attendance were some of the top Royal Malaysian Police brass, Industry Regulators and Associations, High Commissioners of Embassies, Trade Bodies, Exhibitors and Media.
In his keynote address, the IGP stressed the importance of a holistic and strategic balance on the role of technology within the security of people and businesses.
