AGM was followed by a Council meeting during which the office bearers were

elected (see list attached) with Ms. Natalia Seng, Executive Director and

Head of Corporate Services of Tricor Group as President. Richard Leung who

retired from the presidency after one year will continue to serve as a

Council member in the capacity as Immediate past President.

"I am honoured to be asked to serve as president of the Institute and

I'd like to thank Richard for his tireless work on behalf of the Institute

and the profession of Chartered Secretary during the past year," said Ms.

Seng. "The Institute will continue to develop the profession with one of our

main priorities being the highlighting of the benefits of employing

Chartered Secretaries to employers. We have excellent relations with the

regulators, government and academia and these will be maintained, but the

time is right for the profession to show employers the benefits of engaging

Chartered Secretaries to enhance the governance standards of various types

of organisations. We will continue to be proactive in supporting the

government in the area of anti-money laundering while the importance of

maintaining momentum on the Mainland in terms of developing the Chartered

Secretary profession is also a key initiative for 2007."
