ST. PETERSBURG, Russia, April 12 /PRNewswire-Asia/ --

The draft programme of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2010 (http://www.forumspb.com/ ) has been approved.

Although global financial collapse has been avoided, businesses and governments must now manage the dual challenge of securing economic recovery while taking the necessary and sometimes difficult steps to develop business, in particular restructuring economies and innovating business strategies. These measures will lay the foundation for a sustainable future.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2010 is devoted to discussing and resolving these issues.

In accordance with the established theme, the Forum programme will be built around the following fundamental topics:

1) Global economy - managing the next phase in the global economic

recovery

2) Russia - Today and Tomorrow: economic future and role in the global

arena

3) Looking into the future - cultivating an innovative mindset in

business and politics

The Forum 2010 offers new formats for increasing forum participants' communication efficiency. For the first time, participants can actively participate in briefings, business roundtables and discussions with leading experts. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and French President Nicolas Sarkozy will be taking part in the Forum.

Participants of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will have the opportunity to exchange ideas on ways to adjust strategies that will foster stronger economic growth going forward, assess post-crisis measures, examine key global macroeconomic trends and actively participate in forming future directions in business development.
