PARIS, May 10 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Over 3,000 property executives from around the world -- an increase of 49% compared to last year -- are expected in Hong Kong, November 28-30, 2007, to attend the second MIPIM Asia international property tradeshow. 2007 will see the launch of the inaugural MIPIM Asia Awards, designed to honour the best real estate projects in the Asia Pacific region.

Seven months before MIPIM Asia 2007, some 50 major real estate companies have already committed to exhibit in Hong Kong, including Divyasree developers (India), HongKong Land (Hong Kong), Jeju Free International Development Center (South Korea), Ocean Property (Thailand), The Rockefeller Group (USA), AOS (China), UK Land Investments (Malaysia).*

MIPIM Asia 2007 will offer Asian property professionals a new opportunity to promote their projects to the international real estate industry. 2007 sees the launch of the MIPIM Asia Awards to honour outstanding real estate projects developed in Asia Pacific in such sectors as offices, tourism, business centres, residential, shopping centres and eco-friendly projects. The MIPIM Asia Futura Award will honour a project which is at the planning stage and which shows outstanding architectural, technical or environmental qualities.
The MIPIM Asia Awards will be judged by an international jury drawn from the Asian property industry and featuring some of the most highly-rated personalities of the industry. Entry to the awards is open to all companies working in the property industry and is not restricted to MIPIM Asia participants. Projects have to be based in the Asia Pacific region. Nominees for the MIPM Asia Awards will be extensively promoted during the event.
In addition to the exhibition and networking facilities, MIPIM Asia hosts an impressive conference programme focusing on the many investment opportunities of the region. In 2006, world respected experts shared their knowledge and offered key take-away information for delegates wishing to develop successfully in the region. They included such personalities as
