HSINCHU, May 23, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- MediaTek Inc., a leading fabless semiconductor company for wireless communications and digital multimedia solutions, announced today that MediaTek will present four papers at the 2012 Symposium on VLSI Circuits. Founded in 1987, the symposium is recognized as one of the premiere international integrated circuit conferences. The four papers, selected on the basis of originality, innovation, and advancing the field, describe new analog circuit design technologies appropriate for highly integrated system-on-chip (SOC) devices. MediaTek is the only fabless semiconductor company to have more than two papers selected for presentation at the 2012 Symposium.
Two of the selected papers describe advanced low-power analog-to-digital converters. A third paper describes a 2.8 uA oscillator with low sensitivity to supply voltage and temperature variations. A fourth paper describes a high-fidelity stereo audio decoder including headphone amplifiers suitable for mobile applications.
The four papers will be presented at the 2012 Symposium on VLSI Circuits in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, beginning on June 13th, 2012. The Symposium is sponsored by the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society and the Japan Society of Applied Physics. The Symposium is recognized as one of the premiere international integrated circuit conferences and is held in conjunction with the Symposium on VLSI Technology.
