HUIZHOU, China, June 8 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- NIVS IntelliMedia Technology Group, Inc., (NYSE Amex: NIV) ("NIVS" or "the Company"), an integrated consumer electronics company that designs, manufactures, markets and sells intelligent audio and video products, today announced the successful completion of the first phase of its product roadshow and the start of the second phase.

NIVS has successfully completed the first phase of its product roadshow, which covered 15 provinces, including China's richest provinces and cities, such as Guangdong, Shandong, Zhejiang, Henan, Beijing and Shanghai, as well as provinces in Northern China, such as Jilin and Heilongjiang. As part of an ongoing nationwide marketing campaign, this interactive product roadshow was supported by an intensive TV advertising blitz on CCTV, online media marketing, and timely press conferences. Based on the Company's internal surveys, the campaign has greatly increased NIVS's brand awareness and purchase consideration amongst NIVS's targeted consumers. The integrated marketing campaign has also directly boosted sales of the Company's new products, as NIVS has received new orders totaling approximately RMB 50 million for approximately 100,000 pieces of the newly-launched Digital Home Theater systems. Later this month, the Company will launch the second phase of this product roadshow, which will cover all of the remaining 11 provinces in China. Continuing on the successful formula of the first phase, the second phase will combine face-to-face interaction with end consumers with on-site product placement and continued intensive CCTV advertising. This campaign will also target China's Western region, which has historically been neglected by other electronics brands.

Mr. Tianfu Li, Chairman and CEO of NIVS, commented, "We are very pleased with the success of the first phase of our nationwide marketing campaign, as the immediate results far exceeded our internal expectations. The combination of our smartly-placed TV advertising and thoughtful product placement has won over many new potential customers and distribution partners. We are delighted by the sharp rise in recognition of our brand, the surge in inquiries from regional and national distributors, and the strong new orders. Our first phase marketing campaign has established a sound foundation for our products and brand, and we are confident that the second phase promotion campaign will further strengthen our reputation and help us gain additional distributors and ultimately win substantial new orders for our new products."

NIVS has also been awarded "Best Marketing Campaign" and ""Best Buy" for stereo products by PCPOP.COM and ZOL.COM, respectively. PCPOP.COM is a leading information vertical website in providing consumer electronics, computers and communication equipments information. It has more than 5 million registered users and provides an information sharing system that more than 5,000 product vendors post real-time product and pricing information. The "Best Marketing Campaign" award was evaluated by a group of industry experts and voted by PCPOP.COM online shoppers.

ZOL.COM, a subsidiary of CBS Interactive, is regarded as the No.1 IT website in China that provides IT-related industry and product information. Its daily page view has reached more than 4.1 million and total registered users have reached 5 million. ZOL.COM is named by Columbia Journalism Review as one of the flagship brands in China. Typically, ZOL.COM will have surveys on its main Web page, which enable its online shoppers to vote on different award categories.

Mr. Li added, "We are very proud to have received these awards, which not only demonstrate our brand momentum in the marketplace but also validate our new products' value proposition. We believe that as we continue to educate our targeted Chinese consumers on our attractive value proposition, our excellent product quality and our exciting brand, we will steadily march towards our long-term goal of eventually becoming a household name brand in China and ultimately towards delivering greater value to our supportive shareholders."
